Fast Facts
Town or Locality Wells Road, Two Wells

The following coordinate was not recognized: {{{Geocoordinates}}}.

Two native wells, just west of the limestone knob [where the main township is now located], were deepened to provide a watering place for the early bullock drivers. A windlass was added, and the wells were stoned up. The wells were neglected after mains water was supplied, and forgotten. In 1967, the wells were relocated, but again fell into disrepair. In 1979 the area was rejuvenated as a park. The wells are not heritage listed.
